CURRENCY

The unit of currency is the peso.

Bank notes come in denominations of 20'000, 10'000, 5'000, 2'000 and 1'000 CLP.

Coin values are 500, 100, 50, 10, 5 and 1 CLP.

Like in all South America the US-Dollar is one of the most important international currencies. Credit cards are nearly everywhere accepted, only in little villages you'll have problems to use them.
